Main aims

Main aim of 2-CAPTURE is to explain the circumstances under which regulatory capture is likely to occur or when regulatory decision-making can be explained by other mechanisms. We’ll do so by investigating regulatory output, decision-making and political behavior of stakeholders to influence regulatory decision-making. By combining emprical evidence of each of these components for a set of regulatory issues, we will be able to examine the driving forces of regulatory capture.

2-CAPTURE Team

The team currently consists of my colleagues Bert Fraussen and Adrià Albareda and Moritz Müller. We will post updates on our ongoing work, conference papers and publications along the way.

Ongoing work

We’re currently working on several conference papers based on the first datasets we collected last year. We’ll post more about our findings soon.
